This is a great camera but I do wish it had a better lens. Battery life has also been an issue for me. I can see why Consumers Reports rated it so highly. It is a delight to use, and the automatic settings are usually what I would have chosen under the same shooting conditions. I actually have the A540, but it looks almost exactly the same as this. Mine is 6.0MP so I guess that's the difference.
