The Canon 60D is fast, shoots gorgeous still images and video, and adds tons of options to make your video look professional, but those looking for ease of use may be deterred by the lack of continuous autofocus during video recording. quote

Digital Photography Review Nov 10, 2010

It's a more comfortable, more flexible and faster-to-use version of Canon's justly popular entry-level DSLRs. The twin dial controls, better grip and bigger viewfinder will delight stills shooters while the articulated screen and movie control will please would-be videographers.

The Canon EOS 60D is in many ways a great camera: fast, feature-packed, and with excellent photo and video quality. Some annoying aspects of its control layout dim its shine a little, however, so try before you buy.

The EOS 60D represents the middle of Canon’s SLR lineup, but it is a top-notch camera in terms of performance, handling and flexibility. There are a lot of upgrades from the 50D, including a significant bump in resolution and a completely revamped control system that make it more flexible to use.

The 60D aims for casual shooters, it offers near professional – or should I say near-7D – capabilities and quality, making the 60D a highly recommended DSLR for anyone who just want more than an entry level model but does not need a professional tool.

The Canon 60D has some smart features and handling is good overall, but getting the best results can take more effort than it should. Be prepared to interact with exposure compensation and auto lighting optimization settings fairly frequently.

Just stunning how much light this sensor can pick up. Shooting at night is now my favourite thing. Plus the stabilization on the kit EFS 18-135mm f:3.5-5.6 IS is absolutely stunning. I'm routinely hand-holding 1/2 second exposures at full zoom with no shake at all. The flip-out screen is big...

This is a wonderful camera. It's amazing for video, and a little less so for images which sometimes appear grainy. Don't get me wrong, however. When the images turn out nicely (97% of the time) the photos are vibrant, and they really spring to life. The Vari-Angle LCD is awesome for shooting...

What an amazing camera. I was gifted this for my high school graduation (a little early, hope I graduate). It's wicked fast, I don't think it's possible to have anything that's faster. It's a very solid camera, a lot more solid than anything in the rebel series.

LOVE ITTTT, with the new EOS 60D DSLR, Canon gives the photo enthusiast a powerful tool fostering creativity, with better image quality, more advanced features and automatic and in-camera technologies for ease-of-use. It features an improved APS-C sized 18.0 Megapixel CMOS sensor for tremendous...

I upgraded from a Canon XTi (400D) because I wanted something that would perform better in low light (the XTi started showing noise above ISO 400), had HD video recording, and was bigger/better fitting in my hand. I see why people always bring up the micro-adjust as it is disappointing to see...

Much is made of the camera's plastic construction on the photography blogs out there (metal vs. plastic construction debate), but the truth is that it feels very solid and well made. The camera produces excellent images, and feels snappy and quick in operation.
