Bought for a two month trip to Europe.
It took incredible pictures and was strapped to my back the whole time. As my first DSLR I was worried about learning and the difficulties of exploring new camera functions. It was easy right out of the box, though the software is a little weak on my computer side, I haven't lost many shots. I've now gotten the hang of it and absolutely love the camera. It really got me into both High Quality imaging and HD video production.
The 1080p is overkill for me, but the 720p video is outstanding.
