As far as i can see: Cannon will charge you about $50-70 for a replacement battery charger. If you buy a cheap knock off charger, you can expect to pay $15 but it will not recalibrate the battery and therefore the cammera won't be able to tell you how much power is left in the battery.

Product name needs tweaking?
In Europe this is called the EOS 1000D, and it's always a pain to have to remember that it's the Rebel XS in America. Mind you, the Japanese call it the Kiss F... Anyhow, if it could be renamed in the Gadget lists it would help people find it better. I see some Canons have both names already.
