Canon basically took their already great 70-200mm f/2.8 IS and made it even better, improving sharpness in the corners and edges and adding an extra stop of image stabilization. Still quite a large and heavy lens though. Whether or not the improvements are worth the extra $600 or so over the Mark...

Out of the box, it was not super sharp, wide open at F/2.8. But after micro-adjustment, everything is good now. This is an amazing lens - except for its weight, which is 3.28lb (1.49 kg)
