The Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 is a no-frills package, offering relatively slow scanning and bundled with only a low-end photo editor and a special-edition OCR program. But it handles photos surprisingly well for the price, and includes such welcome touches as a color-restore feature for faded photos.

Based on its dismal performance, lackluster image quality, and limited features, it's hard to recommend this scanner to anyone other than the most budget-minded users who are willing to accept its compromises.
Read the full review →The LiDE25 is very portable, while still managing to produce fine image quality. It is bus powered, so you dont need a separate power cord for operation. This boils down to a scanner that can be taken almost anywhere.
