Just bought a 2012 retina Macbook pro. I love everything about it except that the hard drive size is about the same as my old laptop from 2007 (SSD will do that). I would love to know how the performance (size, speed, noise, etc.) compares to other drives in the real world. It seems like this is the first affordable portable Thunderbolt & USB 3 option but I'm a little worried about how slow the drive may feel, not being solid state. Would love to hear from users about how it performs for them in their workflow.
