The MLB TV service is available for many connected devices this year (http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/index.jsp?co... including Xbox [new], PS3, Roku and AppleTV.
I was wondering if one device was better than others in terms of featureset and performance for the 2012 version of the MLB app when connected to a 1080p HD TV.
I haven't been keeping up with what was coming with the Boxee iPad app, but I was excited based on the idea that it could replicate the functionality of Boxee Box. Well, I just installed the app and I'm sort of disappointed. Here are the primary features: - Friends stream (Videos your friends are sharing on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr) - Watch later (Use the Boxee bookmarklet to mark videos to watch later via computer) - Featured (Videos that the Boxee staff highlight) - Video streaming (Stream...

In a recent gdgt blog post around the time of the AMD event in Seattle there was a mention that another gdgt event is being planned for the Seattle area later this summer. Has a date been already set?
content with it. I'm running Boxee on my laptop (1.83 ghz C2D, 2gb ram) and it had been pretty poor, so I'm kinda worried how this experience would be using it on a Boxee box which will probably will be less powerful than my laptop. Any thoughts?
They'd said several times that it would "be released before the Box," but apparently the Box is just delayed because of software. So what about the remote?
I just listened to this weeks podcast and the Chicago sounded like it was awesome time, so it'd be cool if one happened in NYC. Also would you guys ever consider doing a round table with people from the site? Since this is a user driven site I think it would be cool to have some type of open discussion where it wasn't just you guys & a product person but also a few people from the website.
If you're going to the Chicago event (or even if you're not)... What are you stoked to see from this group? Who are you psyched to meet with? What do you want to ask them? I'll follow up w/ a 2nd group soon.
I'm planning on having a Boxee Box in my family room, as well as using a second Boxee Box remote for my (future) iMac in the bedroom with an OS X Boxee installation. The beta release of Boxee has totally won me over, and it will totally succeed as a standalone installation on other devices (Mac, PC, AppleTV...) http://blog.boxee.tv/2010/01/05/by-the-pricking-of...
I'm planning on buying a Boxee Box and I'm just wondering is anyone knows if a refresh will be coming anytime in the near future? I just dont want to buy this one and have a new one out in 3 months. Thanks!
I am tired of paying $100 a month! What do you all recommend? A Roku, or maybe a Boxee? How about both? My main needs currently are a few shows on the USA Network, Doctor Who (OF COURSE), Thundercats 2011, and a few local television shows. Any direction at all will be appreciated!
Does anyone have any experience with the Zotac ZBox HD-ND02-U? It's a little dual-core Atom box with Ion graphics, 2 204-pin SODIMM slots, HDMI out, Optical Toslink out, integrated b/g/n and gigabit ethernet. Like the other ZBox models, you bring RAM, HDD and OS to the party. I was thinking of using this box with XP and Boxee (Someone convince me to use something other than XP if you think it necessary--so far it seems to do better at running Boxee than 7 does.) and strapping the ZBox to...

While I can do all the different parts they enable individually, its a pain in my butt and it would be grrreat if I could have one box attached the TV/interwebs to bring it all together. So basically my question is (now that I've been able to see the BoxeeBox and there is a new Apple TV reported) what, really, is the difference between all the options? It seems like Boxee will offer Hulu but the others wont? I am assuming they all do the job of aggregating your existing media on the...
