If you have the money and are particular about sound—even the sound coming from your Mac—you owe it to yourself to audition the MM-1.

There's no question these speakers will deliver great sound to your desktop, if you're prepared to spend $500, and if the audio files on your PC are up to the task. The downside is that these speakers are truly designed for just one task. Don't consider them for your home theater or iPod; they're designed to get optimal sound out of a computer, via a direct USB connection, and to be used on a desktop. That may make it hard to justify spending $500 on them, but if you spend your days sitting at your desk listening to lossless files, they may well be worth it.

We found a lot to like about the B&W MM-1 multimedia speakers, but their $500 price tag gives us pause.
Read the full review →Hardly an overpriced design piece, the Bowers & Wilkins MM-1 is a fantastic pair of high-end PC speakers worth saving up for.
Read the full review →The depth of sound excels across genres and mediums, which makes these a welcome addition to any home office. While these units are much slimmer than M-Audio’s AV 40s, the sound couldn’t quite reach their level. And the $300 price difference makes it hard to favor look over function.
Read the full review →Design and construction are first-class, a stylish wrapper over the most supremely musical desktop PC speakers we’ve heard to date. Speakers this small have absolutely no right to sound so damn good.

For the rest of us just looking to bring some of that Bowers & Wilkins magic to our home office, office or desktop - look no further than the MM-1s.
Read the full review →We’d like to tell you that the MM-1 is comparably priced ... but 500 clams puts it at the opposite end of the spectrum. If you’re as passionate about audio quality as you are about the rest of the components in your rig, on the other hand, that’s not such a high price to pay.
Read the full review →There was never any doubt in our minds that the Bowers & Wilkins MM-1 speakers would be something special and, lo and behold, they are. They look stunning and sound even better - truly, PC audio has never had it so good.
Read the full review →Dispersion is stunning, the sound being highly consistent almost anywhere roughly in front of the speakers and the imaging is excellent.
Read the full review →The MM-1s are as clean in their design as in their sound. If you appreciate musicality and detail over sheer volume in your music and find yourself spending hours and hours at a computer, then you should hear the MM-1s. B&W have designed near perfect speakers to please an audience of one – you.
Read the full review →These things are very expensive, no doubt. But the sound is so precise and clear, that it is probably just about worth it, if you are a perfectionist :) Despite their size the speakers sound amazingly balanced. Although it is not a 'big' sound like a set of full-sized hi-fi speakers, they have...
Read the full review →If you do not want complications, bits and pieces to clutter your workspace but demand something 'superb,' Grab these! :) This is by far the most impressive pair of computer speakers. Also the most expensive. My first impression happened a year ago at a local Mac reseller in town. They have...
Read the full review →The sound is perfect! If you're looking for speakers for your laptop or desktop, and don't want a subwoofer, theres no other alternative! Bought both Bose companion 20 and these, and there wasn't even a doubt in my mind!
Read the full review →Crispy and powerful as you wouldn't expect from such small speakers. Only downside, they don't come with a dedicated bag. I travel a lot, and they are supposed to be portable, that was the whole point of spending more than $400 on them: they are small and they can come with me wherever I go....
