The bottom line is that they pack a massive sound into tiny buds. But even better, they stay in well and are exceptionally comfortable, even when you wear them for long periods of time. While they're expensive, if you've got the beans to dop on quality buds, you won't be disappointed. quote

the C5s are no doubt a posh, well built, and comfortable set of iDevice-compatible intra-aurals with mostly great sound to boot. Aside from a bit of cable noise, mildly grating highs, and scuff-loving edging... Overall, the C5s are a solid option ...

The bottom line: While the Secure Loop design may not be a perfect fit for every ear, the Bowers & Wilkins C5s are among the best-sounding earphones in their sub-$200 price class.

Boiled down to their essence, the C5s are really earphones for people who hate earphones, but love and appreciate music. They not only deliver surprisingly lush and open sound, but they do so with a level of comfort that no other IEMs can match.

B&W’s C5 offers crystal-clear audio, and deep, satisfying bass. At less than $200, it sounds like a surprisingly good value.

B&W has truly nailed virtually everything else, combining a visually striking and functionally novel design with great sound and reasonable pricing... If you’ve been looking for a pair of premium but moderately priced earphones, C5 should be at or near the top of your short list; it’s highly...

They're far more interesting-looking than almost all other in-ear pairs, and are incredibly well-made to boot. The sound is satisfying too - open, full-bodied and powerful - as long as your ears aren't too critical.

We think B&W did a pretty great job with their first venture into the world of earphones. These canalphones have class, style and a sound that is consistent with B&W’s standard of excellence.

I really like how the B&W C5 earphones sound. They are warm, very balanced and just plain refined, both in sound and build quality. They also make quite a design statement. My main gripe is that within an hour or two, they become uncomfortable. Keep in mind that I can only speak about my ears.

I bought these recently but am just about to return them. Although the sound quality is great, they hurt my ears and the left speaker is already shorting out.

Get the perfect fit is not the easiest thing. The first step is find the right ear tips, the ones that came installed are so uncomfortable. The next step is learn how to use the secure loop system. Once this is done, the headphones are amazing, they produce an outstanding sound that will give a...

I heard a lot of good things about the sound quality and sound design of these earphones - so I was really excited to get them even though I knew the fit would take some getting used to. At first I was really happy with the sound, and appreciated that I could hear outside noises and it didn't...

These are beautiful, fit great, amazing pure sound. If B&W can fix the durability issues with channels getting dead after some use, I might revisit them. As it is, I would not buy them, unless you are living in a country where you can quickly get a replacement from B&W (I'm not).

I went from the Bowers and Wilkins P5 to this one, they both gave me the same audio quality except the C5 is more mobile, also I love the fact that you get the same audio quality but way less weight on your head. These IEMs are great, I never thought I can get this kind of sound from IEMs....
