Just a couple of points on durability - my first pair started to come apart after a couple of years of use. Took it in to the Bose store, and they swapped it for free for a new pair. At some point they changed the design due to a weak spot in the plastic of the head band sides that cracked and came apart from normal use. If you have an older pair that have come apart at the sides, check with Bose before you toss them. Also be aware that Bose sells replacement ear pads, and they are easy to self...

Where do you use your headphones?
I have had mine for a couple of years now and when I'm flying, I plug them into the iPhone and "check out" with some good music. :) This plus my Kindle make the endless hours in airports more bearable.

Use BQ2 as Aviation Headset
I'm not sure if anyone else has used this headset for this task, but they make an AWESOME aviation headset! With the help of a product from http://uflymike.com, they instantly become a headset. No screws/solder/etc. Just pop it in and you're good to go. I've used it for about 8 months now, and I probably wont use anything else. The only downside to using the BQ2 as a headset is there is no battery monitor, and once the battery dies, you are no longer able to hear audio from any radio...

best headphones ever
I've had mine for 3 years and they are one of the only gadgets that I never want to upgrade. they're all beat up and taped up but I love them too much to get a new pair.
