Criteria Comments Rating
  • Sound quality I am no audiophile, but the sound was pretty awesome for the price good
  • Design and form factor What can I say, nothing fantastic, but defiantly not bad either. so-so
  • Comfort Oh YES, the MOST comfortable pair of headphones I have ever worn by far! great!
  • Noise isolation Good. For not being noise cancelling, they were very adequate. good
  • Durability The bad. Mine broke numerous times. Very Bad. Then again I was very demanding of them too. So if you treat'm nice you will probably be fine. poor
Detailed review
I have owned these headphones since 2007. They have provided me countless hours of enjoyable isolated listening. I have taken them on numerous airline trips to England, Hawaii, California, and the the Eastern seaboard of the US.

The Power:

COMFORT, I usually wear these headphones for 3-4 hours at a time and have worn them for upwards of 6-7 on occasion. Rarely do I ever experience discomfort.

SOUND, You get what you pay for. These are not BOSE QC3 or Sennheiser 595. But the sound they produce will satisfy you if you are looking for a significant improvement over the $60 varaity.

ISOLATION, I used these in some noisy environments: my home (people talking, and laughing etc), on airline flights, and any noisy place where I wanted to feel the world disappear. I have tried on other head phones that have better isolation but these defiantly have the ability to compete with nearly any pair in their price range.

The Pain:

CONSTRUCTION, To put it simply: not good for a heavy user. These headphones routinely end up in my back pack with all my text books, or in carry on luggage next to my computer and all my electronics. They have not fared well at all. I have broken and repaired them on 5 separate occasions.

Note on repair
There are two places where they are likely to break, the headphone jack, and on the headband just above the hinges. If you are don't mind learning to solder you can fix the headphone jack if you pick up a new one from someplace like radio shack. I have fixed the head band with "Gorilla Glue" and used a popsicle stick as needed. This has done nothing to improve its appearance, but who cares what it looks like if it sounds good.

CONCLUSION, Over all, if you don't plan on using these roughly you will experience years of good listening.
