This is an incredible project. The 7 inch form factor is a perfect mix between screen real-estate and portability, and with a understated design sense built with durable nice to hold materials it's a device that you'll want to port around a lot.

The UI is the real showpiece of the device, a fast, well thought out and intuitive experience with gestures that become second nature as you use it more. With mini HDMI out, good battery life and a gorgeous screen, this is truly an excellent product.

Of note at this point in time is the lack of truly great apps in the App World. There are certainly some good ones showing the potential of the device, as well as useful ones slated for release in the Summer of 2011, but out the gate it's worth noting that Apps will be a bit of a waiting game.

Still, this is a problem that is easily remedied with time and the core experience / design / functionality is strong enough to support a great experience.
