For us, however, the BlackBerry UI is showing its age, and ultimately, beautiful hardware aside, this device is essentially exactly the same as every other BlackBerry.

The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 brings T-Mobile its first 3G BlackBerry and improves on its predecessor with a sleeker design and more power. We only wish it had a better browser to complete the package.
Read the full review →The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is a good-looking smartphone with a tremendous range of features. Highly recommended.
Read the full review →While many will probably disagree with us, we're not sold on the more cramped keyboard that makes the new Bold 2 9700 look a lot like a hundred other BlackBerry designs out there today.
Read the full review →The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is simply the best of everything that Research in Motion currently offers in a smartphone, wrapped into a tight package.
Read the full review →Every single thing about the BlackBerry 9700 screams high-end to us, and for a device that’s a part of the Bold-series (the Bold won’t go anywhere, we’ve been told), it should. It’s the best of the best to come out of Research In Motion to date and we can’t wait until everyone’s able to...
Read the full review →On the whole, the 9700 is a safe, expected, and generally well-executed iteration on RIM’s winning strategy, but doesn’t bring anything especially new to the table.
Read the full review →I guess I'll start by talking about the phone part of it, because apparently some people still call other people. So... you dial... and it rings... and for you, no one picks up, but for me, someone picks up on the other end. When they talk, I can hear them. When I talk, they can hear me....
Read the full review →RIM seems to have finally gotten the message shouted by users (especially T-Mobile USA's) of all of their recent devices of the past 3 years. "Give us full connectivity!" And they responded, likely much to the chagrin of recent Tour buyers. Let's begin on the outside before we...
Read the full review →Phone Signal - The Bold 9700 continues the great lineage of BlackBerry with a very accurate radio indicating your actual coverage and slipping between 3G and EDGE was seamless and more often than not despite being on AT&T was much less apt to drop a call than an iPhone 3GS in the same area. (my...
Read the full review →Probably personal opinion, but I prefer the Curve's "chicklet" style keyboard versus the 8800 and Bold keyboard. On a small device like the Curve and Bold 9700, spacing between keys seems like the best way to go. Other than that, the device is great. Trackpad is a huge leap...
Read the full review →I'd been using a BlackBerry Bold on AT&T and decided to switch over to T-Mobile so I could use the new 9700 (which is identical to the AT&T version) to make calls over Wi-Fi (T-Mobile calls with UMA for unlicensed mobile access). When trying the phone in the store I was very surprised at...
Read the full review →I can't say enough good things about the Blackberry 9700. From it's awesome looks, to it's super fast performance, this phone does it all, and does it well. The only complaint I have with it is that the browser is still sub-par compared to the iPhone and android based phones....
Read the full review →Outstanding communications device. Not as sexy as an iPhone or Android .. I have had an iPhone thru work and my wife has an Android HTC Inspire .. both are great but I think this BB is much underrated. I do run a few apps .. all that I need for a business device and they work well
Read the full review →I've been using Blackberries since they were colored blue, and since their hay-day I've been less and less impressed. This is a solid unit. It texts and makes phone calls well. I've had to reboot it almost weekly however since I've had it. The smartphone like features feel tacked on, not...
