  • Number of ports If I could find a Tetra hub with mor ports I would have bought one. good
  • Design and form factor It's a little light so the cords in the back tend to lift the front just slightly. good
  • Portability Not designed to be portable. You can run some small USB key types of devices without the AC power, but you can't run any major devices without it pluged in. awful!
Detailed review
The unique feature of the Tetra series is the full 12 MB to each USB port for USB 1.0, 1.1 devices is nice. You don't get just a single USB 12 MB channel to share across all the ports which means your devices can work fast not having to wait for bandwidth while another device is "talking".

I have had 2 of these. My first one died after about 4 years, but I am pretty sure it was due to a USB device shorting it out and not a hub failure. My second hub is still going strong after about 7 years.
