Would I buy these headphones with my own money? Probably not, because I’m not the target audience. If you really do fly a lot and you want to show off the fact that you’re someone high-up at a company, the Executive headphones by Dre are worth picking up. For the rest of us, $300 is a lot.

In the end, Beats Electronics proved to me that it’s more than just a brand name. But spending $300 on a pair of headphones is a serious commitment.

The Beats by Dr. Dre Executive noise-canceling headphones have an appealing design, strong features, and good sound, but they don't quite measure up to the Bose QuietComfort 15 noise-canceling headphones.

The Beats by Dr. Dre Executive headphones deliver decent noise cancellation and powerful low-end thump, but there is serious competition to consider in this price range.

Designed for comfort and privacy, the active noise cancelling works brilliantly without sacrificing sound ... However, they're still on the pricey side and the fact that you're stumped for sound when the batteries run out is a slight disappointment.

Beats has made progress with the Executive headphones, but not quite enough. It wouldn't take much more effort to make the firm's headphones a whole lot more interesting.
