Conclusion: We like it
With the Executive headphones, Beats brings its signature style to the high-end noise-canceling category dominated by the likes of Bose's Quiet Comfort 15. The good news? According to All Things D, the Beats "did a good job of blocking out noise" and PCMag "was impressed by how much the earpads quieted the roar of the airplane's engines." PCMag also says the Executive produces "quality audio performance for bass lovers at moderate volumes" and is "incredibly comfortable." While the Executive is expensive, it's priced on par with similar models like the AKG K 495 NC, and it's also a "gorgeous" set of headphones, according to TechCrunch. If that matters to you, they're well worth checking out.
