Conclusion: Pass on it
The Bang & Olufsen Beolit 12 is an elegant, great-sounding, portable speaker system that will play your iTunes streams via AirPlay, and can connect to iOS devices via USB. But $800? Really? For significantly less, you can choose from a range of portable speaker systems that weigh less, sound good, and are at least as versatile in their ability to connect with various audio sources, including the gdgt-recommended Jawbone JAMBOX ($168), and even such relatively expensive devices as the Bose SoundLink ($300).
