And the sound quality is amazing. I've watched movies with this thing and I swear sometimes I get confused and think that a sound coming from the headphones was a person come up from behind me. It's just amazing.

How is the overall sound quality (given that they're clips and will have some sound leak)? Do they sound as good as they look? Are they a good step above the aluminum A-T EM7 headphones?

I never realized the importance of soundstage in music until I got these. I'm not even listening to them out of a particularly good source (My Eee 1000H), but they still astound me with the spaciousness of their sound. The comfort is also super.

I've lost to cable that comes with these headphones, and the port on the headphones is recessed on the side of the headphones. I have not been able to find another cable that can fit into this port. Does anyone know a place where I could find a replacement for this cable?

This is for anyone who is contemplating buying these headphones. The build quality is very good ( as you'd expect from high end headphones ) The Audio quality is very near perfect, these are true studio monitors so you can hear your music just as it was intended by the creator. The only headphones I've heard come close to the quality of these were about 3x more expensive. My only complaint with this product is that having leather wrapped around your ears gets pretty warm and in summer...

I seriously can't be the only person here who owns a pair of these gorgeous, beautiful sounding things. That's just silly :D Sign in if you've got 'em, and say what it is you love about them. Personally, I like the balance between portability (flat folding) and high(er) end sound quality. Plus, they look fancy ;-)

The ATH-M50 comes in two versions: a coiled cord (ATH-M50) and a straight cord version (ATH-M50s).

I am considering the coiled cord pair for both in-home as well as iPod use, and I wanted to know if anyone finds the cord to be cumbersome?
