Conclusion: We like it
Yes, like many "ultrabooks", the Zenbook UX31 takes a lot of inspiration from the 13-inch MacBook Air. But it also has higher resolution display and a better sound system while managing to be hundreds of dollars cheaper. Its 6+ hours of battery life is nothing to thumb your nose at, either. If you're looking for a lightweight and relatively powerful PC, this is the one to get. But don't forget: Macs can run Windows, too.

The ASUS Zenbook UX31 takes a lot of what we loved about the 13-inch MacBook Air--a wafer-thin aluminum chassis, fast performance, instant resume, and good battery life--and adds even better audio and a higher-resolution display. Even better, the UX31 costs $200 less than the Air.

In all other respects this laptop has been basically exactly...
