I love this little guy. I bought this computer right after they came out. I bought it for taking to school with me and using during class to take notes. I hadn't been in college for 13 years and I noticed that all the other students had laptops and the teacher expected us to have internet... Read the full review →

I bought my 701 off eBay shortly after these became popular. For a long time, it ran Ubuntu Netbook Remix and I put it to work mainly as a small PC to use in the living room, or while travelling. It has traveled with me to several locations and while backpacking across Japan the built-in wifi came... Read the full review →

The ASUS EeePC 4G (701) is the first model of what has become a very successful line of inexpensive, underpowered but highly portable computers. While Net-books definitely have their place, this unit falls short simply because it was the first. PROS: The EeePC is small. It can fit inside almost all... Read the full review →

This was probably a mistake. I bought it when it first came out. It was so novel. In retrospect, I should have waited for the inevitable netbook explosion and not pulled the trigger on the first one to come along. Small in every way. Read the full review →

Buyed one for valentine's day for my wife, and she still loves it after 1 years of every day use. Just because of the size, the speed, etc. Even our babysit use our EEE PC every time for surfing, just because its small its very usable when watching TV. We installed XP because we need it for... I picked this up with extreme excitement when it was first announced and was wishing it would be the slim, sleek, lightweight portable that was the future. I wanted to use it to do some writing, light web browsing, etc, but the problems with it just mirror the problems in the netbook market. Among... Read the full review →

Although this product exceeds in basic tasks such as word processing, web browsing (except for flash) and file viewing, it has next to no customization. Even when I tried installing a few Java Applets they was buggy and slow. Of course, this is just the operating system (Linux) but still, it's... Read the full review →

A cool and well made netbook made by a now very successful company! It comes with the xandros OS which now will not work with u tube because it doesn't take adobe 10. Just get puppy or an ubuntu distro if you want to get it now! Its good for it's time. And it works at a good speed with its... Read the full review →
