1005HA-B various specs?
There seems to be various versions of the 1005HA-B that are different from the model mentioned above. Some feature XP other Windows 7 Starter. Some have the 0.3MP Camera others have 1.3MP. Various hard drive sizes and battery options seem to be availalbe also I have one that features Windows 7 Starter, glossy screen, 1.3MP camera and a 250 GB hard drive but lacks bluetooth or a 6 cell battery. If you search "1005HAB" on best buy there are about 4 different combinations of this netbook...
ASUS 1005HA--one key is not working

OS X Battery
Has anyone gotten the battery meter or sleep working on the 1005hab in any version of OS X? I've tried in both 10.5.6 and .8 and haven't gotten anywhere. I followed http://maceee.blogspot.com/2009/08/installing-mac-... to no avail, and i've tried voodoobattery and a few other more common fixes. I'm gonna try installing Snow Leopard tonight to see if that makes any difference. Thanks everyone!

What dual-boot config? Just ordered from mwave $239 refurbished
Finally took the plunge, this price put me over the top. The solid, pleasing design put it ahead but the $329 min price was keeping me away. This will be my hackintosh platform; for this price, $239 + 0 ship + 0 tax, I won't wait long to void the warranty. Anyone out there doing dual or triple boot? I need to run OS X and XP at a minimum. I'd also like to book Linux sometimes as well. If it wasn't for my work, I'd get rid of XP. What about running on separate drives? Anyone tried...

Awkward shape to carry around?
I desperately need a netbook to carry around with me (class, work, etc) because my current laptop is just too large and doesn't get enough battery life to be a portable. I am definitely considering the ASUS 1005HA and 1000HE, but what turns me off of them is the "seashell" design. Even the 1000HE is much thicker at one end than the other. This makes me think that they would be very awkward to carry around inside a backpack. Can anyone give their opinions on this? How do they fit...

Just picked one up!
I picked up the Asus Eee 1005HAB at Best Buy for $299.00 This machine is a monster! I wanted something that I could use solely for work/school. I don't like to bring my personal laptop to work with me, so I wanted something ultra portable and easy to use. I am going to eventually upgrade it to 2GB of RAM and Windows7 when it comes out, but for now.. This thing is amazing. I don't feel as if I compromised at all... Anyone know of any known drawbacks on these??? Or am I justifiably amazed?

Hulu on 1005HA
I have heard that some netbooks don't run hulu very well (choppy video etc.) does anyone know if the 1005HA runs hulu at a good frame rate(HD or otherwise)?

Asus 1005HA... Best netbook out there?
I resently took the Asus 1005HA with me to Jamaica on vacation and spent the entire time please with the little machine. Asus 1005HA handled HD video and even Adobe Illustrator. I easily spent 7 hrs of hard work on the machine before the battery gave out. Is anyone elese loving this thing as much as me?

I have heard that you can't replace the memory on the 1005HA without sending it somewhere and paying out the nose for it. Is this true? Does anyone know?

This little guy is pretty awesome, but it collects fingerprints like a magnet. What are some of your favorite resources for covers or skins, custom or otherwise?
