Conclusion: We're mixed

With an 8-megapixel camera, optional keyboard dock, Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and a svelte profile, the Transformer Prime may just be the best Android tablet currently available. But it costs as much as the new iPad, and if you really want a keyboard, why are you getting a tablet?

For the moment the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime is the best Android tablet on the market. All hail the new king.

It's the best constructed, fastest Android tablet out there. The only people who should hesitate are those who don't want to be confined to Wi-Fi. That said, this is my new favorite tablet. Maybe it'll be yours too.

The Asus Transformer Prime is the best full-featured Android tablet yet. Its refined design makes it just as sexy as the iPad 2 or Galaxy Tab 10.1, and the laundry list of thoughtful features, coupled with great video playback and camera performance, deliver an impressive device that more than holds...

The ASUS Transformer Prime is without a doubt the finest Android tablet to date, and barring those with an addiction to having what they call the “widest” or “finest” app collection in the land, I’ve got no qualms with calling this the highest quality slate on the market today.

The Prime has its uses, and it's very good at what it does. But its unique selling point is that it’s a tablet that is so great it’s almost as good as a laptop. Many users might as well just buy a laptop.

ASUS have taken the Transformer TF 101 and made it better. It is faster, looks better, has the latest Android OS, bigger battery, brighter screen, better camera, more storage and it's lighter. The best Android Tablet money can currently buy.

I bought mine in the first wave, and to say the least, I've not regretted the purchase yet, even with the TF300 and TF700 being announced. For the usability, the features, and the flexibility of the tablet being a computer or well, a tablet, when you need, it. At work, it makes it easy to pass...

Everything about this tablet is great. Except for the wireless performance. The tablet is made out of aluminum which doesn't let the wifi, bluetooth, and GPS communicate as clear as it would without. Besides that the quad core will handle anything you throw at it, and Ice Cream Sandwich drives...

I also have owned the iPad 2 since release. Only used it for a few weeks, then it basically was a paper weight. I've done more on the Prime in the first week of ownership, than I did the entire time with the iPad 2. The Prime is great! ICS is great.

Best tablet I ever had. Great specs, great games, great display. The glass gets scratched sometimes though but the back is hard to get nicked.

People have complained a lot of WiFI/GPS issues. I have had zero. I was very happy with that. Not sure if they were firmware issues or what, but the upgraded version that will be coming out supposedly addresses that via a modification to the (sexy!) brushed aluminum backing. This thing is a lot...

WOW! I used to poo-poo tablets and Ipads until I bought this beaut. Now my iMac goes to sleep a lot more often. This is the most gorgeous piece of hardware ever cerated. Keypad is great, display is stunning. And with Ice Cream Sandwich Android has finally come up with an OS that’s as sexy as it...

Were it not for the antenna issue with the radial design on the back, I would happily give this the perfect 10. Its an amazing device. I ditched my iPad 2 as soon as I got it and haven't looked back. Android on Tablets is getting better every day and the keyboard dock makes this a really good...

I'm really loving this tablet. I do occasionally wish I had some app that is available for my wife's ipad2, but then sometimes there's some great Android apps that she can't get. Some people complain about GPS/WiFi signal issues due to the metal back. I've not really seen this. I don't...
