Detailed review
I've tested them out for about a week few hours each day. I've come to really love them. Prob the best pair of headsets i've ever owned. My previous pair, Logitech g930 wireless is noticeable lacking vs the astro's a50.

Sound Quality is excellent. Much better than the g930. bass, mids, and highs are noticeably better but especially the bass. Sounds crisp, clear. Watching movies in them sounds like a theater.

Comfort - EXTREMELY comfortably and will not hurt your ears after a few hours. I wear glasses and i don't even notice it, the fabric is super soft and cushions around your ears with a lot of give. I feel no pressure at all. With my g930's it hurt after an hour and would sweat due to the material logitech used. Astro had thought long and hard about these headsets. My ears don't sweat and doesn't overheat.

Durability and form factor - My logitech g930's broke on one side after i dropped it once! (fell off a desk) I've dropped my astro's by accident when i pulled it out of the box and i was standing up. Thank god nothing happened. It feels solid, and can't see it breaking too easily. After all, it's made for pro gamers and they are known to have short tempers.

Cons. Like my g930's it auto shuts off after 10 mins of silence. I hate this, sometimes i'm working on my desktop tabbing out of a game. Usually takes more than 10 mins so it shuts off and i have to turn it back on every time. Which brings me to another another annoyance. The sound volume resets after the power is off. I have a volume level that i prefer but once it's off i have to fiddle with the volume knob to get it back. not a big deal but it's noticeable "maintenance" for everyday use.

Overall. Comfort and sound quality are my most important requirements of a headset. The astrogaming a50's excels in both regards. At $299.00 USD it better be! It's more than an xbox and ps3 itself. However if sound is important to you and you play competitive gaming, give yourself an edge and hear those footsteps clearly!

As a fellow four-eyes, I really appreciate you mentioning that these are comfortable while wearing glasses. Overall an informative, and therefore satisfying, review. Thanks!
