- Voice / mic quality If this has a better mic than any phone or any other person in any game server I've played, it's good as heck.
- Sound quality It's just so good there aren't many words to describe it, besides extraordinary, anomalous, atypical and a few more.
- Comfort I expected a tank-headset that would weigh down my head, NO! These are so comfortable I can use these for hours while studying or playing.
- Durability No comments
- Design and form factor It's Just SO different and Amazing. You don't see a headset this robust with a atypical design with the speaker tags and headband.
Detailed review
Lets say that My point of view may be narrow to other headsets, because I'm comparing these to the 20$ Sony pair of headphones I've had and used for years.
>Design<
Sure, I've seen Dr.Dre's beats, and they do look mighty cool, and monster headphones and razer's. They are unique, But the design has shocked we with it's unseen style and form-factor. It also has speaker tags to adjust to your needs, well if you have an extra pair of them. You can detach the Boom mic and attach a speaker tag with no Mic hole to ensure you don't have dust stuff going into the mic hole.
>Audio Quality<
This is an amazing product, no doubt. This baby has sound so real and immersible I can just close my eyes and basically Day dream what the heck is going on. When Gaming, you get an amazingly big sound stage where all of the sound will come from. It does not sound closed spaced, it sounds like you are actually in a stage with about 6-8 speakers surrounding you. The sound is Just out the dishwasher clear (if you have a good dishwasher), and with a warm sound touch and the bass and treble are balanced enough to where Gunshots don't make your ears scream and the bass not enough to Blow your eardrums like what the grenades do to cars in most games. It's Perfectly balanced, and it's all refined with Clarity that I have never experienced until now.
>Microphone<
Both of the Microphones, the Boom Mic and the in-line mic are just as clear as the Audio quality, Clear and A bit warm. The boom Mic is pretty darn sensitve, so don't think you need to put it RIGHT next to your lips, it's pretty good and clear at the right distance. Everyone, my friends and strangers online can hear my voice with enough clarity to where none of them have to say "what was that, repeat?"
>Comfort<
I've been wearing these for about x>2 hours right now. My old headsets, and most others, would squeeze my head and make it feel like someone is getting their two hands and squeezzing my head. But now these just have bizarre comfort. They may fell on your hand, and look like tank-headsets that will weight your head down like crazy. But once you put these on, they will fell like clouds on your head. They have fell like they have no weight on my head, and you probably will to once you put these on.
Conclusion:
Are these worth 200 bucks and 250 for a full set? Yes. They may be expensive, But considering the Quality and Comfort, and lots of other factors put into this, this is a total must have that not many other companies seemed to master besides ASTRO. It will be one (if not the number one like me) of the best headsets you will ever purchase in your life. It may be expensive, but it is a good long-term audio investment that you don't want to miss.
