I've been looking around for a headset and I've liked most of what I've heard about the Astro A40 but I have some concerns. They are as follows... Number 1) I'm looking for a wireless system that at the bare least is Wireless for my 360 and PS3, and is also PC compatible. A lot of people says the Astro A40 are the best gaming headset ever created, and that they so superior than the Turtle Beach X41. I've got an HDMI-equipped Onkyo receiver that I run both consoles into now – trying to determine an elegant way to add wireless headphones to that mix.
Much cheaper and more practical than a surround speaker set. Pros: +Very high sound quality and the simulated surround sound is surprisingly accurate +Easy to connect to XBox LIVE for in-game and party chat features +Adjustable input/voice volume balance +Detachable microphone boom Cons: -The mass of wires with the MixAmp is a little unwieldy, but with the newly released wireless MixAmp, I'm sure this will be helped a lot.
