Just browsed through the list of the latest gadgets that received a score here, and came upon this - the Archos GamePad, which got the brutally awful score of 45. That immediately made me wonder: has there ever been a worse score than that on gdgt?

Reviews are starting to trickle in

...and they're not good. Bad battery life, bad screen, bad d-pad, bad software for the buttons... bad, bad, bad, bad and some more bad. This really bums me out; I wanted this thing so badly when I first heard about it I nearly had a panic attack.

I would've shelled out $250 for this thing if it was quality, but it sounds like Archos cut too many corners.

I had a sad.

But not in the US until Q1 2013. There goes my christmas present hopes. At the very least I'll be able to read reviews on the unit before it comes out, but damn. This was going to be the only early-adoption device I've ever gotten.

I have been salivating after this tablet ever since it was first reported on. Then I saw the first hands on video of it yesterday and I was hit with feelings reminiscent of a 10 year old waiting for Christmas.
This tablet looks absolutely amazing.
I'm looking forward to being able to load up my favorite legally obtained ROMs on this sucker and forget about the real world. I'm also looking forward to finally getting into Android, something I've been curious about for a long time, but never enough... Read more →
