As a media player, this device is great. The screen is gorgeous...touch screen implementation is very smooth. Plays all my video files, music and pictures with very little issues. I don't know about the video recording feature, because I have yet to buy the dock, but if it is anything like the 605 (its older sibling), then it should be a great feature to have. A lot of the videos I watch now were recorded with the 605 off my cable box. Wifi connects with no issues, and am able to surf the web and update fimware easily. Web pages look great on the screen. I knocked off one point for the occasional freeze-up (happens to me 2-3 times a month), and another point for its app store, which is slow and a pain to use. GPS is there and is ok for casual use, but I wouldn't say it replaces a dedicated GPS device.
