Liking my Archos 5 with Android so far
Perfectly sized to fit in a shirt pocket. A great Android-based alternative to a WiFi-based device such as the iPod Touch. I got the 32GB flash-based version and it's nice and solid. Recommend spending some time browsing the Media Club - especially if you're a CSPAN junkie, for example.
Disadvantages: As of Nov. 2009 still running Android 1.5 rather than 1.6. Doesn't have a camera or Android Market. But as an Android developer I can appreciate the potential of this device. If you need a phone, you'd want to get that first of course, but this is great as a second device.
If buying a case, check the dimensions - this one's larger than the previous Archos 5 Internet MEDIA Tablet w/o Android and the first two vendors that advertised cases for the 16/32-GB flash-based Archos 5 sent cases that were too small (third time's a charm).
