  • Ease of use OSX as always is easy to use and the gestures are great. good
  • Speed I don't notice is being slow on my 15" Retina MBP often. Could be better though. good
  • Configurability I can setup this computer just the way I want it. Full screen with multiple monitors still sucks. good
  • Ecosystem (apps, drivers, etc.) Has all the apps I need and drivers for all hardware I use. No issues here. I don't play video games which I know is weak so not a perfect score. good
  • Openness This is an Apple OS so it is not open however webkit is an example of Apple working with open source. so-so
Detailed review
Overall the best desktop OS I have used including Windows 8. The integration with iCloud is what I wished for with Lion but never received. I don't like some of the UI choices where Apple is making their apps look like real world objects. Give me an optimized digital UI as I don't care about address book looking like a dead tree version of an address book.
