  • Ease of use It's OS X. Intuitive and fairly clean design, even after all this time. great!
  • Speed Some animations feel like they slow down the OS. good
  • Configurability Standard fare for OS X, and new features like Notification Center have a good amount of options. good
  • Ecosystem (apps, drivers, etc.) Mac App Store is great, and drivers and things download automatically. great!
  • Openness It's a desktop OS in 2012, it's as open as anything else. great!
Detailed review
Mountain Lion is a good, though not great release of OS X. It doesn't add much to Lion, though what it does add is very useful, especially Notification Center.
