Surprising that Apple's history of mouse design has so many misses. But this thing is perfect for me. Very natural, having used PowerBooks and MacBook Pros since 1992.

I have a Magic Trackpad and a mouse. I keep the trackpad on the left side of my keyboard and the mouse on the right.
Very convenient as I can now use either hand to control what I do on my computer.

I picked up the Apple Magic Trackpad last Thursday. It's a really nice device and have it linked with my MBP in the home office.
Surface is very smooth and is comfortable to use. Highly recommend it.

Mine just arrived, will be playing with it tonight but couldn't resist opening it at work and having a little go.
Seems pretty good to me so far but only time will tell with peripherals.

Finally sitting down to try out the Magic Trackpad for the day, will report back here with my findings! First impressions, however, are still mixed.
It's large enough to accommodate my entire hand, and given its shape and proximity to the keyboard, I've already found myself just resting all my fingers on it at once (and mousing only with my index finger, naturally). Since I don't do this with the trackpad on my MacBook Pro (which is obviously smaller and positioned beneath, not next to the keyboard), I've found it much more natural to use some of the gestures I don't often use, like four-finger swipe, etc. Still,...

I have both the trackpad and a magic mouse. So far, I haven't fallen in love with the trackpad.
I've finally moved it to the left side of my monitor and have resumed using the Magic Mouse as my primary device. Perhaps I didn't give the trackpad enough time, but I prefer the Magic Mouse.

tried this out in an apple store and it seems like a great little accessory. A lot bigger than a normal laptop's trackpad.
Wonder if it's pressure sensitive?!

Starting to really love the Magic TrackPad. Picked one up yesterday. I have an old 20 inch Intel IMac. It is about 4.
5 years old and the Magic TrackPad runs well on it after the software update. Don't have a Macbook or Macbook Pro so I never really used the trackpad on those. I find it really easy to use the finger swipes, and particularly like the 3 finger swipe to move windows.

Gimmee a break. Using the multitrack pad on my MacBookAir is a major pain. Why would I want to increase the torture? Gestures?
C'mon - nobody seriously uses these.

I love trackpad. Even I have a Mighty Mouse, for most of the time I just use my PowerBook trackpad.
This is definitely a product for me rather than the Magic Mouse when I get an iMac.

I wonder if battery life is improved over the Magic Mouse?
Since it's just registering capacitive feedback (which the Magic Mouse already does), but lacks all the optical tracking mechanisms. It could be interesting for people who suffer from RSI as well. I'm intrigued!

As a mildy ambidextrous Mac user, I'm looking forward to having my Magic Mouse on the left of my keyboard and Magic Trackpad on the right for quick…
gestures. I'm also hoping it will stop involuntary iMac screen swiping attempts when I return to the desktop after prolonged iPad and iPhone use.
