---IMMEDIATE IMPRESSIONS--- The first thing that you'll notice with this mouse is how flat it is. I'm actually getting used to it now, but the need for adjustment made initial use a little awkward. ---SOLE PURPOSE: MOUSING--- It actually IS a very good mouse. My primary mouse before this... The Magic Mouse is a pretty cool device. It looks great and does its job well, but the comfort isn't as good for extended use as my trackball. Also, and this might be a silly complaint, but it's difficult to use if you have nails that are slightly longer than very closely trimmed because it's harder... Read the full review →

I recently purchased a Apple Cinema Display for my home office. Until then I was using my MacBook Pro 15" screen. I was a heavy gesture user on the MBP's touchpad. So, when I switched to the display, I really missed using those gestures. I bought the Magic Mouse to bridge that gap. There... Read the full review →
I love my Magic Mouse. I've been using a MacBook Air for about 18 months and haven't used a mouse at all other than at work (which is quite a bit, but it's on a WinPC in the military - no blue tooth allowed). I recently purchased the new MacMini (2.53/4GB/320GB) and needed a mouse. To... Read the full review →
I really have no complaints about the Magic Mouse. It's a superb choice for a mouse and fits in perfectly with my Mac scheme on my desk. The design just so happens to fit the shape of my hand almost perfectly, however I find myself gripping the mouse on its sides and picking it up when I want... Read the full review →

The Magic Mouse is beautiful, works well and feels solid. However, it hurts my hand whenever I use it. It is not ergonomic at all and cuts into the sides of my fingers whenever I try to make any gestures. In order to do some of the more advanced 2-finger gestures you have to contort your hand into... My biggest issue with the Magic Mouse lately is that after using a Macbook trackpad for multitouch gestures, my fingers feel cramped trying to do gestures on the Magic Mouse. Plus the surface isn't as smooth to the touch as the newer trackpads. Read the full review →
Apple's new mouse has been a pleasure to use despite some of the problems I've encountered. The Magic Mouse feels wonderful when scrolling. Just slide your finger down the middle of the mouse and like magic, it scrolls depending on how fast you slide you finger. Horizontal scrolling? No... Read the full review →
First I have to say I would not have purchased this on my own, because I do not own a Mac. It was a gift, so I gave it a try on my Dell laptop. I am switching from a Logitech MX revolution. It's from Apple so design is good, and it actually is comfortable to use. Scrolling with touch is not as... Read the full review →

It's exceptionally designed, feels very nice in the hand even though it's a good bit lower than other mice, tracks any surface extremely well, and the multi-touch works like a dream. There are not many downsides to using this mouse if you have a mac, and those that are there (mouse speed,... Read the full review →

This mouse can be a real pain when using it for long periods of time. Since the entire top of the mouse is a glass touchpad basically, when your fingers begin to rest on the top of the mouse, things scroll where you don't want them to, gestures that you don't want, stuff like that. It's a great... Read the full review →

The magical mouse.. look at it.. its white and shiny.. and has an apple logo on it. if the apple logo goes missing, it would look like the new wolksvagen beetle.. you wouldn't know the front from the back.. other than this, the mouse looks like a piece of ancient greek sculpture.. glass top and... I like this mouse a lot, but it seems to drain power too quickly from it's two batteries, and it often scrolls without my intimation, which is frustrating when I'm working on detailed graphics projects. Read the full review →
I bought the Magic Mouse a couple of months ago and I have to say I was somewhat disappointed when I first purchased it. Initially it felt very sluggish and the multi-touch features worked "decently" at best. After a couple of months (and I think at least 1-2 software updates from Apple)... Read the full review →
The Magic Mouse is undoubtedly the best mouse Apple's made in years. They've taken their knowledge in trackpad finger gestures and one-piece manufacturing and made this delicate, yet sturdy, bridge-shaped mouse. The question is how it compares to other mice.
The multitouch capability and lack of a scroll ball to gum up are definite upgrades, but the loss of Exposé and Dashboard support about balance that out for me. If you like your Apple Mouse's pressure sensors and the ability to launch Exposé and Dashboard from your mouse, you may want to give the Magic Mouse a pass until Apple figures out a way to support those features with its new mosue. But if you're in love with multitouch and are tired of futzing with scroll wheels and scroll ball hand crud build-up, the Magic Mouse may be for you.
Apple's new wireless Magic Mouse gets a sleek makeover and even has multitouch controls, but it's better as a portable laptop companion rather than a full-size desktop accessory. The swiping gestures add interactivity to Web browsing and media, but the awkwardly narrow single button design leaves us reaching for better mice from Logitech and others.
Based on pure aesthetics, Apple’s new Magic Mouse is a crowning achievement for the company's design team. Sophisticated, alluring, and downright stunning, the Magic Mouse epitomizes Apple style. Getting down to the nitty-gritty—actually using the mouse to get stuff done—I found that the Magic Mouse and its Multi-Touch features work well. But it may not be incentive enough to abandon your current mouse.
The Magic Mouse is everything that anti-Macists hate about Apple: It’s twee, too smart for its own good, and initially unusable to the uninitiated. Sadly, even Mac fanbois will feel the same way.
