Why do so many wireless mice require that USB dongle?
It seems to me that Bluetooth is ubiquitous by now. Isn't it? And isn't it intended for these kinds of devices? I've used Bluetooth mice from Microsoft and Apple and never had a real issue. So why aren't all wireless mice using it?
Is there some kind of lag involved that bothers people? Interference?
Thanks all.

Why does my Anywhere MX mouse sometimes require two clicks for a response?
I can be browsing a page, go to click a link and it wont register the first click so I'll have to click it a second time. It would be comparable to a window losing focus and needing a click before the window gains focus. When using the Magic Mouse I do not have this issue at all, it's only when I switch the Anywhere MX. The mouse is compatibile with Mac OSX so I know it's not that.
Anyone have ideas or suggestions?
Edit: I figured out what the problem was. I had MagicPrefs installed for my Magic... Read more →

What are some good alternatives to a Magic Mouse?
I think it's time to shed my USB wired mouse and go Bluetooth. While the Magic Mouse seems cool, I find it a bit uncomfortable in use—yes I'm aware of MMFixed [http://mmfixed.com]
What I'm looking for is a mouse that's simple, comfortable, looks good and most importantly Bluetooth. Can I get your recommendations?

My MacBook Pro won't recognize scrolling from any Magic Mouse -- what's going on?
A few weeks ago, I was using my Magic Mouse at home and noticed that it could no longer detect scrolling. (See previously: http://gdgt.com/question/help-my-magic-mouse-no-lo... Now, it turns out that my computer doesn't detect scrolling from any Magic Mouse.
I just reconnected my work Magic Mouse to my computer (been using another mouse for awhile now) and am having the same issue. What gives? Why doesn't the Magic Mouse properly work with my computer?

My magic mouse is noisy and I'm worried that it will scratch up my wood desk. Do Fliders actually work and are they worth the $10 investment?
I found Fliders searching Google. The website is http://www.fliders.com

Is the Magic Mouse a worthy investment?
I've gotten really used to relying on Mac gestures when using my Macbook Air. For the most part I don't need a mouse but there are times when having one would be really beneficial for some tasks. I know the Magic Mouse supports gestures so it seems like a logical purchase. What has been your experience with using one if you have? Is limited with current gesture support compared to native trackpad?

Help! My Magic Mouse no longer recognizes scrolling?
Forget "natural scrolling," my Magic Mouse no longer recognizes any sort of scrolling in OS X Lion. What's going on? I've rebooted my computer, changed batteries in the mouse, turned things off and on.
No matter what I do, I can no longer scroll using my Magic Mouse. It's a little disconcerting (considering every mouse I've had the last 10years or so has had a scroll wheel at this point)!

Are you having any wrist / forearm pain after using the Magic Mouse?
In the past week or so, I've noticed some slight pain creeping into my forearm and wrist. As someone who uses a computer constantly for work and play, this scares the absolute crap out of me. I've always been pretty aware of whether or not something is causing me pain and have been able to change things up (posture, habits, etc). But I can't seem to shake this. We even have fancy Herman Miller Aeron chairs -- so there's plenty of customization options (hey, I've had this thing dialed in...

Is Apple about to get rid of the Magic Mouse?
Earlier today, Cult of Mac reported that their retail sources inside Apple claim that stock is running low and existing inventory will not be replenished. Says Cult of Mac, "It makes sense that Apple would phase out the Magic Mouse, as OS X is clearly becoming a gesture based OS. A recent report predicted that iOS and OS X would merge into one operating system for both mobile and desktop in as early as 2012." While I agree that OS X Lion's gestures are a little too much to do with a Magic Mouse,...

How do you enable dictionary lookup for works using the Magic Mouse?
A new feature of OS X Lion is that you can instantly call up a dictionary for any word under your mouse cursor by enabling a three-finger double tap on your trackpad. That's all well and good, but how do you enable this feature for someone who primarily uses a Magic Mouse? I know I could right click on a word, go down the context menu and find "Look up in dictionary..." but there has to be an easier way. I see nothing in the system preferences!

Does MagicPrefs work in Mac OS X Lion?
I currently have MagicPrefs installed on my iMac to increase the scrolling speed of my Magic Mouse. Does MagicPrefs work in Mac OS X Lion, or should I uninstall it before I do the Lion install? I don't use MagicPrefs for any of the fancy gestures, but I would like to take advantage of all the new Lion gestures.

Will the muti-touch features in Lion be compatible with the Magic Mouse?
Will all of the multi-touch gestures in Lion be able to be used by the Magic Mouse or only by the Magic Trackpad and the trackpads on the laptops?
by chrismurphy
How do OS X Lion gestures differ on the Magic Mouse?
Are all the gestures supported? It seems it would be very difficult, if even possible, to do three or four finger gestures on the Magic Mouse. Anyone have any experience with this? Do I need to get a Magic Trackpad to take full advantage of Lion?

Does your Magic Mouse pick up a lot of gunk on the bottom?
This is something a few of us were talking about in the office today: It seems like the Magic Mouse has a strange propensity for attracting all sorts of junk to the bottom of it. Every time I change out the batteries, I find myself scrapping a bunch of grime and other material off the plastic rails on the bottom of the device. What the heck is going on? I've never had this problem with another mouse.

Why does the Magic Mouse seem to have such trouble syncing with windows in bootcamp?
I often have to remove the device in device manager and re-add it in order to get it to recognize the thing. I like the mouse on the mac side but its definitely a limited use device, terrible for gaming too.

Is it easy to do gestures on the Magic Mouse?
For one thing, it's relatively flat than other mice and I think I find it is too small to do proper gestures on.

I like this mouse, but even at maximum sensitivity it's not as sensitive as I like. I turned off inertia, because that feature annoys me.
I have the sensitivity on maximum and i still have to lift the mouse and move it back to get all the way across the screen. Is there any way I can change this?

Why does Apple's Wireless Keyboard and Magic Mouse sometimes automatically pair with random nearby computers? (And how does one prevent and fix this issue?
) I've seen this issue a number of times -- enough that I've become convinced it's not a fluke. We run almost almost entirely Macs here at the office, and upon occasion I'll come into work and my Apple Wireless Keyboard simply won't connect with my machine, usually because it'll somehow be paired with another computer that it's never connected to before. (And yes, you can definitely rule out pranking -- read on.) I've seen this happen in a number of...
