I bought my 13" MacBook Air when my 2008 MacBook Pro 15" died this summer. I ordered it with the i7 processor and 8GB's of memory. It has the 256GB SSD drive. This is an amazing little laptop. It is so lightweight and portable. The only downside is the display doesn't look quite as crisp as the MacBook Pro 15" that my work just bought. And no, its not the Retina-Display. I highly recommend the Air.

Thank you for review. What's your experience with Core i7 CPU? Is the Air noisy o hot under high load?

I cannot recall ever having heard the fans kick on. The i7 processor is plenty fast. It gets warm but not hot like a MacBook Pro.
