Do you have suggestions for great PCs for kids?
details
I'm gathering a short list of PCs appropriate for small children. I know a few PC makers have a few models specific to children with durable designs and materials, spillproof keyboards, smudgeproof displays, etc. Looking for your suggestions across a range of price points, form factor designs and sizes. Doesn't have to target kids directly, but still appropriate for kid use. Can be desktop/AIO, laptop and/or slates. Thanks for your help!

What's the maximum amount of memory I can put in a MacBook?
details
I have a late '09 MacBook (white) model MC207LL/A (2.26 GHz) and the standard answer is 4 GB. I've heard rumors that it might be able to accept 8 GB. Can anyone confirm this? More importantly do I even need 8 GB? I've recently started to use Aperture and things seem kind of slow. Maybe 4GB is enough??? While I'm typing, Crucial has 4GB (2, 2GB sticks) for $26. It almost seems too cheap. Thanks!

details
I'm looking at the new MacBook pro 13" I can get it with a back to school discount for $1099 not a bad price. I seen today on twit live before this "weekintech". Leo should the way he could have windows open on a sprite desk top. So he just had to slid or from mac to windows. I've used windows now for 12 years have never used a mac but with this I can go wrong. I plan to write code, learn to make android apps, use Google, docs, mail music and plus. I think this is the same for most college...

Anybody else having major issues with Chrome in Lion?
details
I have never had any issues with Chrome in the past, after I upgraded to Lion, things stopped working. Tabs crash, pages freeze, the browser locks up and other nonsense. While I am running Lion on minimal RAM (2 GB), I have considerable RAM not being used and the same with the CPU. I also saw a similar comment here http://goo.gl/3x8c5 but other than that I haven't heard any complaints. Anybody else experiencing issues?

How does Time Machine work?
details
I don't have an external HD to test with, but, essentially, I want to reinstall OS X. What I want to do is get a fresh copy of OS X after a reformat and rebuild my environment back up. Most of my bookmarks, files, & multimedia are either on Dropbox or a NAS. I need a way to recover important libraries like iTunes, iPhoto, & LittleSnapper including all the important metadata I've generated in the past year. I also need to recover some system-level settings like Keyboard Shortcuts, for example,... Read more →

I need some advice about upgrading an old macbook with an SSD drive.
details
I have the original 2006 white macbook model. I wanna drop an SSD in it but I've seen some conflicting info regarding the SATA 1 vs. SATA 2 support. My macbook is SATA 1, but most of the internal drives out today are beyond that, either SATA 2 or 3. I've read in a few different places that I could get a "2" drive but it would specifically need to support the older SATA 1 for it to work at all. I checked some apple support discussions and saw some posts that seemed to say that...
