Despite the release of the gdgt Must-have MacBook Pro with Retina Display, the 15-inch MacBook Pro remains a compelling option, given its lower price, strong performance, and more affordable storage options. However, optional upgrades can bring its price up to Retina-level, so choose your configuration based on your actual needs, and be prepared to consider the Retina model instead. It's not like you'll be disappointed.
