I am a journalism student that is constantly on my laptop. I use it mostly for leisure, surfing the web, streaming videos, editing photos, editing songs, listening to music etc. For work; I am on it researching online sources, writing, writing and more writing.

This laptop is perfect for me because it doesn't heat up while I am writing my papers, so my wrists/hands stay cool and sweat free. The nVidia graphics card on this thing is great, and I can steam my HD videos without any lagging. The built-in wireless-n capabilities allow me to work anywhere in my house, or even in the backyard. The battery life is SUPERB. Granted, I don't get the 7-hours advertised by Apple, but with the brightness set to to middle, music set to half as well, wi-fi on, browsing safari and listening to music, I get a good 5 hours on one full charge.

So the laptop is great for these things. Obviously for gaming... it sucks. If you are looking for a great laptop overall, mostly concentrating on work, with "style," this is the laptop for you!
