I usually prefer buying desktops so I can have more expandability, and a bit more speed in things like hard drives. However, I had to get a laptop to give presentations on the go, and I don't regret getting the Macbook.

The speed is great. There really hasn't been anything I wanted to add on that I couldn't. Adding memory (2GB - 4GB) was easy for a non-techie and sped things up even more. For home use I have a Apple's bluetooth keyboard, a cheapo acer 22" screen, and a logitech wireless mouse.

Wish I would have waited a while to get a better price – but that's inevitable with any tech purchase. Very happy with it overall.
