Detailed review
My first Mac. I'm 44, a longtime Windows guy. A couple of bad computer experiences led me to this. I'm also a student, so the "get a free iTouch" student rebate sounded good to me.

I'm very impressed. The unibody construction blows everything else away on the market. I hate flexy keyboards, and there is NO flex on this one. Seams line up right, there are no stickers on the palm rest, the quality of construction is simply unmatched. The glass "gesture"-pad is awesome. I usually use a mouse with a laptop, but I never feel the need to go and get one with this.

The included software is a treat. This makes Microsoft look like amateurs. iMovie vs. Windows Movie Maker? I mean, iLife really make MS look bad. I use Vista alot, but I'm finding myself using the Mac more and more.

My only complaint with the Mac, and the reason I knocked it down a star, is that browsing the net is slower than it is on my Windows laptop. Whether I use the gigabit ethernet, or the Wireless-N, the Mac pauses whenever is click a page or a link. And it's noticable.

I bought Aperture2 for it. Great program. I am 100% sold on my Mac, form the software to the construction.
