I bought this computer after returning a brand new, slightly cheaper but feature laden HP laptop and I have no regrets. The HP had numerous features that this MacBook doesn't have, including HDMI and a 16:9 screen. However, the HP also crashed a lot, got really hot during processor intensive tasks, and had terrible battery life. The MacBook's reliable OS and solid build quality more than make up for its rather sparse feature set (for its price).

While you could get a Windows PC with a faster processor and more storage and RAM for a lot cheaper, the MacBook Pro's excellent battery life, awesome design, reliability, and Apple's service and support are absolutely worth the extra cost.
