I'm looking for a laptop for college and am wondering, should I wait to see if anything is announce at WWDC 2012 about the MacBook Pros? I'm just looking for some insight as to what you think; USB 3.0, Mac OSX Mountain Lion, redesign, Ivy Bridge?
I'm thinking of opening this thing up and pop in an SSD in it, but which SSD is recommended, I get really annoyed of the spinning harddrive since I'm used to an SSD. Is there any specific SSD:s that works better with Macs?
Since I was going to take out the CD and pop in the spinning drive into the CD slot 60-120 GB is more than sufficient, the best drive for the best money.
Has anyone else noticed that a lot of their movie/TV purchases are missing from the new Purchased section of the iTunes store? I have about 20 movies that I've accumulated in iTunes, mostly through the DVD+digital copy combos. Some of those movies appear in my purchases, but a lot do not. Of the ones that actually show up and have HD versions available, none have upgraded.
Is it usable?, I have Windows 7 installed on my MacBook but it is not my primary OS, but I still need to work for some school work. Should I install it?

Hi, i am looking to get a new laptop in the early part fo the year and have settled on two options: the 13-inch Macbook Air with the 128GB SSD or the 13-inch base Macbook Pro. I will be using the laptop as my primary computer, as well as for some iOS development. I will also be dual booting the laptop with Windows 7 using Bootcamp so that I can use Visual Studio, as I also develop Windows Phone 7 apps. I'd like to stay PC if possible. I can't really afford the premiums on Mac systems. If it's a huge difference editing on a Mac then I might just pony up the extra benjamins to secure one. I'm quite familiar with both Win and OS X so user experience with one or the other isn't an issue.
Apple just refreshed their MacBook Pro line with some new CPUs and GPUs, but one thing that baffled me was the same 1280X800 display on the 13" MBP. Seems weird that the 13" Pro doesn't have a higher resolution option given that the MacBook Air currently has it.
Any thoughts on why Apple decided to do this? Outside of DVD fanatics, why would anyone want to buy the 13" Pro over the 13" Air?
I was hoping for a better refresh. Apple is selling early 2011 refurb for $929. I think theses minor upgrades are not worh $270. What is a better deal? An early 2011 MBP or late 2011 MBP or Air?
