I have a MacBook Pro 13.3" that was bought in 2010 running Snow Leopard (10.6). Since February, my laptop has been freezing and causing me to have to manually power it off. It started off being every once in a while but lately it will occur at least every half hour, sometimes sooner; they happen out of the blue. Some of the things that Apple technicians have tried are, deleting my network settings, re-installing the OS software, cleaning the hard drive (clean install), and then a complete system...

Magican Rest is a new software to me. I haven't used this app, so I afraid it will disturb my work. i hope it can inform me it will cover my computer screen before it take the measure. Will it give me an alert before I can do nothing with my Mac OS X.
I see an article from Magican Official site said that many Mac users monitor for Mac info every day? Should I choose a system monitor check system info?
I installed OS X 10.6 on my old HP Mini 1000 netbook the other day, and everything is running more or less fine except for on thing: I can't get WiFi working. Any Hackintosh experts have any suggestions? Nothing I've tried so far, including installing different kexts, has worked. The Mini 1000 boots up just fine, trackpad is working, etc.
UPDATE: Ended up digging some more and found a different kext which worked!
I'm having some issues with finder and time machine and was told to reinstall the OS but don't want to lose my data, especially since I don't have a backup due to the issues with time machine. Is it safe to reinstall the OS without losing my data?
I jumped on the Lion bandwagon when I got my 4S for all the iCould compatibility. But after a month or two I've found that I don't use Mission Control (I liked expose better), and launch pad is useless, since I keep all my mostly used apps in stacks or quick launch with spotlight. And all the auto syncing of things to my phone is done by iTunes wirelessly. Theres a few other beefs I have too, but their minor. I never had any crashes or anything, but I just feel like Lion is more unstable. I do...

I'm thinking of turning my Dell laptop into a hackintosh. I've heard there are methods of installing Snow Leopard and Lion on these kinds of machines from a retail disc. If anybody has any stories about doing this or any tips to share, I'd love to hear them! Do you think this is a possible or a good idea for a Dell Inspiron?
One of the only things that bothers me about Mac OSX's GUI is that when I like the "+" button to maximize a window, it doesn't maximize the window to the full screen width and height. I know it sounds bad to say that I would like it to work like Windows, but my question is: Is there any way to change this behavior?
Ever download something, go to install it.. It zips to the end so you think it's perfect and done. Then it gets to about 95% and just hangs there for hours and hours on end?
This got me thinking about the voices that come pre-installed in Mac OS X for text-to-speech and accessibility purposes. Is it possible to download more voices to install in my Mac? I so want to make my Mac sound like the Wall-E Autopilot.
I have a OS X machine that has mapped network connections to my Windows Home Server. When I logon to the desktop from a reboot, Finder will open all those network connections as a separate window (eg 8 network connections, 8 open windows). I want the network connections as shortcuts on my desktop, but not have the open windows.
In Windows, the default keyboard shortcut "ctrl + left/right arrow key" is for jumping to the start or end of each word but in OS X, the shortcut "cmd +left/right arrow key" is for jumping to the start or end of a line. Is there any way I can change the behavior of this shortcut? I couldn't seem to find it in the Keyboard section of System Preferences.
