Conclusion: We like it

This update to Apple's smallest desktop computer adds HDMI output, making it a great option as a basic, small home-theater PC (though it doesn't include a Blu-ray drive). Apple has also reduced the overall height of the mini, and added faster processors and more robust graphics options. While the mini's $700 price may be high compared to some HDMI (and Blu-ray) equipped PCs, it provides a level of elegance and convenience that are difficult to track down from other manufacturers at any price.

The $699 price tag makes the mini an expensive standalone HTPC, you either need to really be in love with the styling or have an additional use for the machine in order to get your money's worth.
