What's the best simple text editing app for iPod Touch?
Dropbox sync in a plus. I've looked at quite a few options, and I'm leaning toward either WriteRoom or Notesy. I'm certainly open to other options.

Orientation switch turned into mute button!
I jailbroke my iPod Touch 3rd gen, and as a result there was an option in the settings to change the orientation lock button in the multitasking bar into the mute switch. This option should only be available on the iPad, but I foolishly pressed it.
Since then there has been a black square where the orientation lock should be and it does nothing when pressed. This change has backed up and then restored onto my new iPhone 4S, but it is an even bigger problem as my hardware mute switch now turns on... Read more →

Is it possible to add a song to a playlist on the Ipod Touch?
When I buy a new song and I sometimes want to add it to a specific play list. Currently I sync the Ipod with my computer, move the song to the play list on my computer, and re-sync the iPod. I feel like there's got to be better way.

I've had a third generation iPod Touch for a little over a year now. Great device, loved using it as my daily driver. Favorite iOS 5 features so far?
Notifications is an obvious and early favorite, but I have to say, I'm personally REALLY digging the lock screen camera shortcut + volume shutter button, and the iPad split screen keyboard and tabbed browsing. Reminders seems conceptually half-baked to me, and doesn't do enough to take the role of a dedicated personal task management system (kind of like how Notes could never replace something like Simplenote for me). Reading List may have potential, but it's like they knocked off the least...
What's a good messenger bag that you use daily? (To hold gadgets + books? + binders?)
I'm looking for a good messenger bag that I can use daily to hold my things: MacBook Pro 15" on occasions, several textbooks and ring binders as well. I might get an eReader as well later on , but basically the bag should be quite spacious and durable. What are some brands and models that you guys can suggest?

Audio problems through head jack port
Whenever I use my iPod with headphones I can't hear anything out of left ear. I have wiggle the end piece to get audio. Was wondering if I would get some iso alcohol and pipe cleaner. Could I try to clean it without wrecking iPod. Or would this even work

Making calls with Google Voice on an iPod touch?
I know Google Voice doesn't allow for VoIP calls, but is there some kind of workaround that would allow you to make calls with an iPod touch? What about a Skype Out account? Has anyone has success with this?

I tried adding my mac address to skyhook and i dont get it still. Their customer scre tells me that there is something wrong with my idevice and they have already added my mac address. I hsve netgear wgr614 wireless router. Please help me guys.

I live in a country where there are no subsidized iphones. An unlocked iphone4 is crazy expensive and hard to get.
I did connect my nokia E65 yo my ipod touch 2g, but the Nokia batter will only last about 45 minutes in this configuration. Since I really want it for data/apps, I was reconsidering an ipod Touch 3g teathered with a nokia, Windows7, or Android phone but looking for a more energy efficient bluetooth teathering. Anyone done it?
