Detailed review
I still have my 1st-gen iPod Touch and i use it a lot. Besides being an iPod (and a very good 1) I can have my e-mail, websites, twitter, feeds, etc in my hand. The only thing I truly miss on it is an external speaker for Youtube, and that was added in the 2nd-gen, but I can live with it. One thing which annoys me about the iPod Touch are the paid updates (like 2.0 and 3.0) but even with a 2nd-gen you have to pay for them. These big updates have added some functionalities to the machine, but made the 1st-gen a bit slower, and it still is one of the best mobile devices for web browsing on the market.
So to conclude, if you are going to buy an iPod the 2nd-Gen is of course the best choice, since it is an update to the previous iPod, but i give mine a good rating since it does everything as advertised and it performs very well at most of those things in terms of speed. One of my best gadgets
