We think the iPod Touch is a great product with lots to offer, but its premium price tag should give some shoppers pause. Don't assume that Apple's most expensive iPod is the best solution for your needs. quote

With the iPod touch Apple gave its customers less in what should have been the best iPhone alternative on the market. This time around, in Apple's obsession to edit, they managed to leave some of the best stuff on the cutting room floor.

With an excellent interface and elegant design, the iPod touch is simply the best portable media player ever made. Recent updates only make it even better.

The iPod Touch is a beautiful product, inside and out, but prepare yourself for sticker shock.

It’s hard to pick up the iPod touch and not think about what could have been. If only video looked as good on the touch as it does on the iPhone. If only Apple had compromised on the iPod’s sleek lines to add a couple of unobtrusive volume buttons.

Put simply, if you want to experience the cutting edge in interface design, this is the best way of doing it without saddling yourself with a £35 per month phone bill. Apple has done it again. Bravo.

Besides spending an ungodly amount on the 32gb iPod Touch when it was released ($499 + $10 just to upgrade to version 2.0 of the OS), the device hasn't really impressed me all that much. I'm a Windows user so my experience with iTunes may be worse than what Mac users experience, but I...

This is the one piece of electronic genius that I could not live without. It does everything wonderfully and exactly as advertised. The only minor complaints I have are the $10 upgrade fees that people with the iPhone don't have, and the fact that the Apple in-ear headphones that I bought...

Once I got her the Touch she started maintaining her account and purchasing lots of TV shows, this has gotten her used to navigating around with her computer in general, I even noticed her using software update on her mac the other day! Cool little gadget- I like how unassuming it is- it's a...

Bought one of the first iPod touches after having a Nano. I really wanted the touch interface to go through all my audio material on the device, I wasn't interested in the video aspects at first and the app store didn't exist yet. It worked fine for me, since I use my iPod many hours a...

I will never understand all the fuzz about Apple, and I'm an Art Director. Apple stuff are cute and have much more eye-candy than the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy ... but is all that really necessary to work? When I got it as a gift I was WOW! so cool, so many things it could do, then...

I still have my 1st-gen iPod Touch and i use it a lot. Besides being an iPod (and a very good 1) I can have my e-mail, websites, twitter, feeds, etc in my hand. The only thing I truly miss on it is an external speaker for Youtube, and that was added in the 2nd-gen, but I can live with it. One...

I wish it had a speaker and mic, but I refuse to complain even a bit - it's just about perfect. It allows easy (and fun?) access to all kinds of stuff from where ever I am that would usually force me to sit in front of a computer. It's pretty and flashy, but never at the expense of...

The max volume was soo low on mine, I hated the absence of volume buttons and a speaker. It was nice and thin compared to my iPhones. It is said to be the slowest iPod Touch, also slower than the iPhones. Was quite dissapointing owning it after having an iPhone 2G previously. It's good when...

The iTouch is everything but the phone. Works great, lots of apps. Replaced my long used and loved Handspring PDAs (4 over the years) which I carried for years to keep my contacts and schedule. Only miss one game on that device. And use the stylus was easier than your fat fingers on the...

Made from parts not up to the quality of the iPhone its based on, and it shows. Updates have rendered the device slower. Buy an iPhone instead.
