Detailed review
I've owned just about every version of the iPod from the original through now (with the exception of the iPod Touch and Shuffle) and have to say that the current iPod Nano 4G is probably my favorite.
The slim design and still easy-to-use controls make it easy to toss in a pocket for the day or easy to slip into an armband for a jog.
I've never had any problems with any of my iPods, so I can't speak to any bugs in the actual software - however, this version seems to scream compared to past versions.
My one gripe would have to be the sensitivity of the "shake to shuffle" function. Sometimes I barely jar the gadget and get tossed to a new song.
