Apple iPod 5th-gen (with video)
latest questions
I had mine in a thick, black, bicep strap case while I was out on a run and it overheated simply from long duration of use and direct sunlight. Apple refuses to replace it and it now only works for a minute after I put it in the freezer for some time. It's quite frustrating.

What advantage does Apple's 30 pin connector have over regular USB?
I'm curious to know what the 30 pin Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad connector (or any other proprietary connector for that matter) has over a traditional USB or other standard adapter.

Syncing problems with iTunes 9+?
I use my work laptop as my main iTunes machine, but it only has a 40 GB hard drive. So, I use an external drive to hold all of my music. I usually leave this turned off unless I am listening to music at my desk. Ever since I purchased the ipod (in September '06), I have plugged it in at the end of each day to update the podcasts (stored on the machine), and headed home. Broken headphone jack
Hey guys I had my iPod for about 3 years and while I was over in France, the headphone jack broke. At first I just had to put in the headphones a little differently, and with a little twisting and some prayer, it worked. After that, I couldn't get it to play from the right ear, and soon after, neither ear was hearing any music. Any suggestions on a fix? I'd like to be able to give it to a friend since I have already replaced it.
