I saw that Gamestop has recently gotten into the business of buying used iPods. I went to three different stores after a Gamestop employee told me over the phone that I would get $50 for my 30gb iPod video classic, but all three attempts were unsuccessful because my iPod has a scratch on the screen and though it works fine, it's too scratched for them to accept. I'm curious to know what the 30 pin Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad connector (or any other proprietary connector for that matter) has over a traditional USB or other standard adapter.
I've been going nuts trying to figure out if this is compatible with the Burton AMP jacket. It is a cool jacket, and the cable routing and padded case integrated into the jacket are good enough, but it would be fun to be able to use the Softswitch controls on the arm of the jacket. I could answer the question pretty quick if I could only get a picture of the headphone jack area, but this has proven surprisingly hard to find.
