Detailed review
I really fought this train for a very long time. My boss, best friend, girlfriend, mom, and numerous other coworkers had the first iPhone, and then the new 3G iPhone. I went with WM6 devices and was happy. Then I realized what I was missing. Iphone has free GPS, yes free, that actually works extremely well. It notices movement in as little as 10 feet. That costs money on WM6 phones on top of internet plans. Then I said "no iPhone, I want to make my own ringtones." Well with a simple changing of the letter A to the letter R, you can make free ringtones through iTunes. No extra programs to cut and splice and convert. Then there is a meriad of games and apps that are just plain fun. And a ton are free and some are just a dollar. Some of the best like RunKeeper and LoseIT! for your health are free. The actual phone calls are easy to call someone, the OS is very easy to use. It is pretty dumbed down and makes it extremely easy for the average person. Then there is the cost. Yes the "start-up" fee is expensive. But if you are new to AT&T or you are past the 2 year on your current contract, its only 200 or 300 dollars. Then you pay for your normal monthly plan 39.99, 49.99, and so on so forth, then your data plan, so the 5, 10, or 15 dollars for the amount of texts. Then finally the iPhone plan that is a base $30. If you have a WM6 this is exactly the same thing. So people with blackberrys, palm OS, or motorola q's, then they are paying the exact samething, for so much less.
